Patricia Gaynor is the supervisor of engineering in the Office of Ports & Waterways, USDOT Maritime Administration. She has specialized in the design, construction and asset management of waterfront facilities. She has a master's in structural engineering from the University of Texas at Austin and over thirty years of experience in the design and construction of offshore and nearshore facilities for port and petrochemical clients. She is currently the technical lead on $7B of port infrastructure construction at MARAD. Patti is leading the effort at MARAD to offer an asset management tool for prioritizing capital projects in an investment portfolio for port infrastructure.
